History

The company “9. Septembar” was founded on September 9, 1982 in Cacak, Serbia. Four friends joined forces with an idea to improve the way how automated production lines are built. They started in a garage, with lots of knowledge, ideas and dreams about revolutionising the way certain industries produce their products.

Initially, they focused on manufacturing machines for various purposes (from machines that were used to dry fruits and vegetables , to the variety of plastic straws production and packaging lines, from machines that were sorting paper, to those that were converting paper, and many others), but with the time it became clear that we Paper Tissue Converting Industry is the one that will benefit the most from 9. Septembar innovations.

Since the beginning, the company is continuously upgrading its operations to reflect modern developments in the business paradigm, built around high standards, continual improvement and product range expansion. R&D team has kept abreast of new trends and introduced new manufacturing processes to improve company’s product range.

As of 2003, 9 Septembar - Tissue Converting implemented quality management systems ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 13485 and OHSAS 18001, as certified by a relevant Slovenian international certification body. Becoming one of the first companies to introduce an integrated quality management system, put 9. Septembar at the forefront of of tissue converting industry.

Its Paper Handkerchief and Paper Napkin Making Machines are instantly recognisable brands and have become synonymous with high quality. The company’s production plants are in Cacak, Serbia, and cover a floor area of 1800 square meters. The plants are equipped with state-of-the-art production facilities, guaranteeing the superb quality and reliability of final products.

9. Setpembar takes great pride in the fact that we were presented with the “Exporter of the Year 2006” award by the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA).
